McElroy Construction Inc. was started in 2002 by Brian McElroy with the express desire of developing better built, more energy efficient homes that would meet the unique needs of homebuyers in central Florida. Brian spent many years working for other building companies and studying designs, products, and systems for new homes. He was not satisfied with the lack of variety, quality, attention to details, and fear of change represented in the marketplace. Builders did not want to try different approaches. Brian knew there had to be a better way to build homes that offered true value to customers while protecting the environment. With this philosophy in place, Brian went into the maket place and recruited other like-minded professionals to become part of the company's ownership group. With the addition of Dave Norton, Vice President of Construction; and Phil Dunn as Vice President of Sales and Marketing; Brian has surrounded himself with a dedicated professional team that shares his dream and that works towards the same goals.
By seeking out ideas in the global maket and constantly improving construction techniques, New Age Homes are distinctively and refreshingly different. All New Age Homes use the Epic Pre-Cast Wall system. Epic creates exterior walls utilizing pre-cast panels that will withstand winds of at least 235 mph. Because of the manufacturer's demanding standards, our homeowners are rewarded with walls that are safer, level, plumb, and better insulated. All window and door openings are precise and therefore more efficient because there is less air infiltration and less loss of energy. The environment also is protected by creating less landfill wastes and reducing energy costs.
The Team then turned its attention to including standard features in every home that far surpass most builders in the area. These include items such as Icynene expandable foam insulation, "On-demand" gas water heaters or passive solar water heating systems, Energy Star approved Appliances, double-pane Low E-rated windows; Energy Star approved ceiling fans, lighting, and plumbing fixtures, all designed to save money while reducing energy usage. The homeowners benefit by saving money and owning better homes, and the community benefits by improving environmental quality.
